Cameron began ministry at New Life in January of 2009 after five years as pastor of the Appomattox Court House Presbyterian Church in Appomattox, Virginia.

After graduating from Salem High School in 1982, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences Education from Liberty University in 1987. In May 2002, graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida with a Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree.

Cameron enjoys reading theology, history and biography of all sorts; reluctantly follows the news -- but still confident God is sovereign in spite of it all; soaks in football (Go Hokies!) as well as basketball (around playoff time) and prefers music from the 70's...and maybe a few from the 80's.

Cameron and his wife, Shannon, a veterinarian in the area, have been married for 27 years and have three children, Matthew, Rachel, and Noelle, as well as an assortment of animals - four dogs, two horses, a catlots of chickens (sigh), two ducks (double sigh), a turkey and a gecko. (Can you tell he's married to a Vet?)  Cameron grew up in Roanoke and, after nearly seventeen years away from the Valley, is delighted to be back "home" in Salem.
